I love Oregon Coast family sessions, especially just before sunset in the summer. I met this wonderful family at Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City a few weeks ago. I love the sandstone rocks and the giant dunes at Cape Kiwanda. Its a really beautiful and unique place on the Oregon Coast and a great place for family photos. This awesome family was visiting Oregon from Idaho. For her birthday, Sabrina said all she wanted was new family photos. I think this is the perfect gift idea for moms. When we walked down the beach from the parking lot we were all so excited for a fun evening. We had the beach almost to ourselves, the tide was out and the sun was shining. It was the perfect evening. Little Miss Kat was the cutest little girl. I could have ran around with her on the beach for days. She was so happy to run in the sand and splash in the water. She was in her favorite place and was having so much fun. And look how beautiful that sweet little face is. I love meeting families that are vacationing along the Oregon Coast. Its a great time to create some wonderful memories of their trip that they will cherish forever.

Sara and Andrew decided on an Oregon Coast Destination Elopement in Cannon Beach this summer. Sara and Andrew flew to the Oregon Coast for their wedding from Texas. It was a little chilly for them but it was a beautiful day at the beach, a little cloudy and misty but lovely for a summer day in June. Sara & Andrew’s ceremony was in Cannon Beach in front of Haystack Rock. They were joined by Andrew’s mom and her partner. Sara looked gorgeous in her wedding gown and it was perfect for the coast breezes. I loved how the bottom blew in the wind.
The ceremony was short and sweet and sealed with a kiss. We started with couples photos at Haystack Rock before heading to Ecola State Park. Once we got to the park the mist had picked up a little, but it wasn’t too bad. Ecola State Park has incredible views overlooking Cannon Beach. Sara & Andrew loved all the green and the tall trees at the park. After this stop we finished at Hug Point, one of my most favorite beaches at low tide. Since it was June, the waterfall was so pretty. They were in awe of this spot and kept asking about all the rocks in the ocean. The beaches in Texas are flat and boring. The Oregon Coast is so amazing and I love when couples come to Oregon from out of state for their destination elopement or wedding. They always fall in love with the area and can’t wait to come back and visit.
Are you thinking about Eloping to the Oregon Coast? I would love to talk with you and hear all about your love story and your wedding plans. Oregon Coast Elopements and Weddings are my most favorite. The Oregon Coast is so beautiful, romantic and peaceful. I can’t think of a more lovelier place to say “I Do”. Kailynn & Nick’s farm wedding was beautiful and so much fun. The weather that day may not have been ideal, with several heavy downpours and lots of rain, never once did this wonderful couple let that affect their wedding day. It’s Oregon, you just never know what the weather is going to do. Kailynn & Nick’s wedding took place in Scappoose, Oregon on her grandparents farm. The farm was amazing, with goats, a huge pig and beautiful white horse. The trees and forest area surrounding the farm was the perfect place for their ceremony and reception.
Kailynn grew up playing on this farm and her grandfather passed away recently, making this special place even more meaningful. On the back of Kailynn’s dress she had a special heart sewn on and it was cut out of one of his old shirts. What a sweet way to keep him close on her wedding day. Kailynn is so creative and talented. She made many of the wedding details, including all the gorgeous signs. Her calligraphy is beautiful and I love that she made the signs. The pastel colors were so pretty against all the dark green. I love all the cute “Up” details. Kailynn put her whole heart into designing the wedding of her dreams and it was perfect. Surrounded by family and friends, these two celebrated their love and it was an amazing day.
Kailynn & Nick got ready in separate locations. I briefly stopped by to check on the guys and they were laughing and having a great time. Each of the groomsman wore different colored pastel bowties to match the bridesmaids dresses. Kailynn and all her special ladies were enjoying every minute getting ready together. These moments are always my favorite. Kailynn’s dress was gorgeous and the details were so pretty. Kailynn’s flower girl was absolutely adorable and loved having her photo taken.
After getting ready and heading over to the farm for the ceremony, Kailynn and Nick had their first look. They exchanged letters first, read them and then turned to each other and their sweet giggles were perfect. They were so happy to see each other and hug. Kailynn & Nick are so cute together and you can tell how in love they are. After their first look, we did some more wedding party photos just before the ceremony. All the flowers created by Brier & Ivy were absolutely stunning!
Kailynn & Nick selected a special grove of trees on the farm for their ceremony. It was a beautiful spot, even with the dark gloomy clouds and I can see why they love this place. The aisles were lined with more beautiful signs created by Kailynn. They looked amazing. Kailynn’s dad walked her down the aisle and up the hill. The ceremony was lovely with several sweet moments. And they are now married!
Kailynn & Nick’s reception was so much fun. All the little details were perfect. For dinner they served their favorite meal, breakfast. There were pancakes and french toast, bacon and fruit. It was such a cool idea and everyone loved it. I don’t think they could keep the bacon basket filled. For dessert, Hello Cupcake created delicious fruity pebble cupcakes, cakes and other yummy treats. The cupcakes were so good! The tents did a great job keeping the rain out. Kailynn & Nick played the shoe game and that was hilarious. There were speeches and lots of laughs. And then there was dancing, lots of dancing and everyone joined in.
We snuck out of the reception for a few more couples photos before it got too dark. These two were having so much fun, the stress and hustle of wedding prep had passsed and they were so relaxed. They were enjoying every moment of their wedding day and their eyes were filled with love and happiness. They really are the sweetest couple.
